Cabinet approves purchase of 40,000 metric tonnes of diesel from Indian Oil Company The Ministry of Energy has already held discussions to procure 40,000 metric tons of diesel and petrol from the company.
Accordingly, the Indian Oil Company has agreed to supply the diesel stock.
Meanwhile, Cabinet approval has been granted to purchase 450,000 barrels of crude oil from the Terra Nevis Group of Companies in Cyprus for the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery on a 180-day loan basis.
