A suggestion from Muslim women about the minimum age for marriage

There is a suggestion from Muslim women that the minimum age for marriage for girls should be 21 or 25 years. It is reported that Muslim women’s organizations have submitted the relevant proposal to the Presidential Task Force on “One Country, One Law”.

Representing a Muslim women’s organization, Dr. Marina Rifai and journalist Suba Qasim recently submitted their views and suggestions to the Presidential Task Force.

 They made a special mention of the Kathi court system and pointed out that its shortcomings should be rectified immediately.
