According to the news reports schoolgirl has died of covid infection.
Speaking to the media today (31), the Director of the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, Dr. G. Wijesuriya stated that the girl had died of Covid pneumonia.
The Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital treats about 25 children daily with Covid’s disease.
“We were informed yesterday that an 11-year-old girl from Maharagama had died due to a covid infection. We have not yet received the full details. We have been informed that he is an obese child to some extent. We will find out more about the incident” he added
