Gamini Lokuge, Minister of Power and Energy says that the CEB will be able to purchase fuel directly through Indian Oil tomorrow (31) and the day after tomorrow (01).

He stated that a decision will have to be taken tomorrow regarding the amount of fuel required by the CEB for the next week.

Minister Gamini Lokuge also stated that a program will be launched to obtain electricity from private power plants for a short period.
