The Joint Federation of Paramedical Professionals has commenced a strike in all hospitals in the Western Province from 7 am today (26).
Its chairman Ravi Kumudesh said that the strike was being carried out in protest of the non-intervention of any party in resolving the issue of salary anomalies in the paramedical and paramedical services and the nursing service.
“A strike will be launched this morning at 7.00 am by the Federation of Health Professionals in Paramedical, Paramedical and Nursing services. We have decided to hold this strike in all hospitals in the Western Province.” He said
