Yakkala Police have arrested a man and a woman for stealing property including Pinketa at religious places.

The suspects were arrested in the Balummahara area in Yakkala and investigations have revealed that they were involved in several such robberies at religious places in the Yakkala and Ganemulla areas.

 Police seized the stolen property including brass lamps and a stock of cash.

The arrested suspects are residents of Ragama and Imbulgoda areas and are to be produced before the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court, police said.
