If you tell the media that organic farming is a failure Rs. 300,000 will be given

Representatives of farmers’ organizations told Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage that some people were prepared to pay Rs. 300,000 for expressing their views to the media on the failure of organic farming.

 They also pointed out that there were various influences and conspiracies in the implementation of organic paddy cultivation in line with government policy.

Representatives of farmers’ organizations stated this when they met Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Farmers’ representatives representing all 25 districts were present at the meeting.
