The Ministry of Power and Energy states that there will be a power cut in some parts of the island tonight (12).

Additional Secretary to the Ministry Sugath Dharmakeerthi said that the power cut will last for one hour today (12) from 05.30 pm to 09.30 pm.

The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that the power cut was due to a fault in a private power plant near the Kelanitissa power plant.
