All the students will attend school from today

The Ministry of Education states that from today (10) all students will be called to schools as usual and academic activities will commence.

Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila Perera stated that the decision was taken on the advice of the Director-General of Health Services.

The government had earlier taken steps to invite school children to school in several phases due to the epidemic situation.

“However, from today all students will be called to school as usual and steps will be taken to close the school canteens,” said the Secretary to the Ministry, Prof. Kapila Perera.

Meanwhile, the Public Health Inspectors’ Association says that with the resumption of academic activities in schools, more attention should be paid to the health of students.
