Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three persons for assembling a bus suspected to have been used for a criminal purpose.

The arrested persons are aged 39, 46, 53, residents of Colombo 10 and Colombo 12.

 The suspects were apprehended during a raid carried out in the Sangharaja Mawatha area in the Maradana Police Division on a tip off received by the STF Headquarters.

Police also seized several items including an oxygen tank and a gas cylinder with a bus with the number plates removed and the internal parts disassembled.

The arrested suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the Maradana Police for further investigations.
