Now the spread of dengue is higher than the spread of covid 19

Patients who have contracted both dengue and covid at the same time have been found, said Dr Upul Dissanayake, Physiotherapist at the Colombo National Hospital said.

 The doctor said that such patients are being treated under him as well.

He said that there were more dengue patients than covid patients nowadays and it was important to see a doctor if there was a fever.

Complications of the covid booster dose can also include muscle aches, fever, and headache, but also a high fever and muscle cramps  are symptoms  of dengue, he added

The doctor also said that there were several cases of dengue patients who did not receive treatment due to assuming the symptoms were booster dose complications.

The doctor said that it was important to know for sure if he had a complication of covid, dengue or booster dosage, adding that all the symptoms of could and dengue were the same except for the smell and the taste.
