Sri Lankan girls who ran away from home to go to India by boat to see actress Mouni Roy arrested

News reported that three girls ran away from their homes to go to India to see shivanya and Shesha the two characters from the famous Indian teledrama The Prema Dadayama aired on Sirasa Tv.

The children were found in the Horowpothana town yesterday (31) afternoon, according to the Horowpothana Police.

The children, who had come to Welimuwapothana Junction on a road running through a jungle forest about two kilometres from home, had boarded an SLTB bus travelling from Trincomalee to Jaffna at around 5:55 am, police said.

Later the children who had come to Kebithigollewa town by the same bus. Then they had returned to Kahatagasdigiliya by a bus from Kebithigollewa to Kahatagasdigiliya. When they came to know that the road was lost, they boarded a bus from Kahatagasdigiliya to Horowpothana and returned to Horowpothana.

Police found them at the Jaffna bus stand on their way to Jaffna around 10:30 pm yesterday (31).

They told the police that they had been planning to visit Shivanya for some time and planned to go to Jaffna first because a friend of them told them that Jaffna is the nearest city to India because the actresses are in India.

The children who were taken into police custody have stated that they intended to go to India by boat to see the actresses. They further stated that they used their parents’ mobile phones to gain an idea of ​​India’s location and that they had been collecting money for a long time.
