The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has commenced a nationwide strike from 08.00 am today.

The union says the strike will be based on seven demands. As a result of the strike, hospital activities have been disrupted and people seeking treatment have been inconvenienced.

The strike in emergency services, intensive care units, cancer hospitals, kidney hospitals, are not included to this strike.
