Controversial surgeon Dr Shafi returns to work with all salary arrears

 Steps have been taken to establish the Public Service Commission for Gynecologist Dr SMM Shafi  to return to Kurunegala Hospital
.
 Also, the Public Service Commission to pay all salaries related to the period of compulsory leave, the House has informed the Secretary of Health.

Dr Shafi allegedly sterilized mothers while working at the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital

 While various parties charged the Ministry of Health had taken steps to send him compulsory leave from May 24, 2019.

The allegations were criticized as being used for racist propaganda targeting an election There was a lot of headlines in the media in those days, but no one who was inconvenienced went to court to prove their wrongdoings.

After the election, the phenomenon was forgotten by the accusers as well as the partisan media, and the hospital lost his job due to the doctor’s long dismissal. Following today’s ruling, Dr. Shafi will resume work.
