Army vehicle pelted with stones in Jaffna

The Jaffna Police have launched an investigation into a stone-pelting incident on a naval cab in Jaffna last evening (14).

The stone was hurled near the Jaffna Post Office It is reported that while the Navy cab was travelling on the road at that time, a person who was hiding at the same time had pelted stones at him and fled.

No one was injured in the attack and only the windscreen of the cab was damaged.

The identity of the perpetrators of the stoning has not been revealed yet and the Jaffna Police said that an investigation has been launched to find out whether there are any CCTV cameras in the area.
