It was recently suggested that India would adopt a more lenient policy on the use of digital currency.
Although the new law seeks to ban all private cryptocurrencies, it is expected that some concessions will be made to its use to promote the relevant technology.
Cryptocurrency values in the Indian market have reportedly declined following reports on the plans.
