Five people have been killed and at least 40 injured in a car crash at a Christmas rally in the US state of Wisconsin.

The car was driven by a group of people attending a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

According to foreign sources, a large number of dancers, school bands and politicians participated in the protest which was held (22nd) evening.

There was video footage of people breaking into roadblocks and colliding with a speeding car.

After the incident, the police had evacuated everyone and deployed heavy security in the area and it is reported that the suspect and the car have been identified.
