Opposition leader Sajith Peiramadasa’s security guards have complained that the protest rally organized by the opposition in Colombo today could be a target to a terrorist attack or an organized attack.

The Cinnamon Gardens Police stated that the complaint was lodged by the Leader of the Opposition’s Chief Security Officer on the 29th.

The Cinnamon Gardens Police had requested the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court to issue an order to stop the protests. The police told the court that an investigation was underway into the attack under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
