A change in the Indian T20 leadership

Rohit Sharma has been named the new captain of the Indian Twenty20 team. The first Twenty20 International between India and India, led by Rohit Sharma, is scheduled to begin on the 17th.

That was against the New Zealand team. The Indian squad for the three-match Twenty20 Internationals has been announced. Former captain Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya have not been named in the squad.

India batsman Virat Kohli has stepped down as captain of the Indian Twenty20 team after the World Cup match against Namibia yesterday.

Virat Kohli, who captained the Indian Twenty20 team for the first time in 2017, has captained the Indian Twenty20 team in 50 matches so far and has won 30 of them. Under Kohli, India have lost just 20 of their last 20-20 internationals.
