Minister of State for Corona control Sudarshani Fernandopulle said that there was an increase in the number of corona infections in some districts.

She added that the growing situation could not be underestimated and that the number of infected people could not be prevented from rising further if people did not adhere to basic health laws.

Currently, the number of reported cases is around 500, but if health laws are not followed, that number could soon exceed 1,500, she said.

She added that the success of the measures taken so far to control the spread of corona largely depends on the behavior of the people.
