Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena says that as the prices of goods are determined by the international community, it is not possible to keep the prices of goods in Sri Lanka low while the prices of goods in the world are increasing.
In such a situation, if there is anyone who knows how to keep the prices of goods low in the country, he asked him to tell him that method.
He also said that the prices of commodities such as fuel, gas and milk powder are determined not by our country but by the international market.
Therefore, when the prices of these goods go up in the world, the government will have to increase the prices in Sri Lanka as well, he said. He said this while he was responding to a question posed by journalists.
