The body of a missing women was found a dam of a private hydropower plant

The body of a mother of three who went missing from her home was found in a dam of a private hydropower plant in the Kadiyanlena area in Nawalapitiya, Nawalapitiya Police said.

It is the body of J. Felomina (73), which was found in the power plant. She is a resident of the Queensbury Estate in the Nawalapitiya Police Division.

Nawalapitiya Police said that the mother of three had been missing from the house since the morning of the 14th and her children had been found all over the estate and later the body was found in the pool of a private hydropower plant about five kilometres below the house.

The body of an unidentified woman was found floating in the reservoir by the security guard of the private hydropower plant after they informed the Nawalapitiya Police.

The body was found floating in the reservoir and was taken to the Nawalapitiya General Hospital for a post mortem, Nawalapitiya Police said.
