Ceylon Indian Oil Company is requesting the government to increase the prices of fuel

Ceylon Indian Oil Company is requesting the government to increase the prices of fuel distributed through its distribution outlets.

 Accordingly, the Ceylon Indian Oil Company has requested permission to increase the price of diesel by Rs. 25 per liter and petrol by Rs. 16 per liter.

They have pointed out that due to the increase in oil prices in the world market, a price increase should be made in Sri Lanka as well.

 The company has informed the government that it is making a loss from the sale of fuel in the country.
