Upcountry vegetable farms distroyed due to heavy rain

A group of vegetable farmers in the western slopes of the central hills say that they have been severely affected by the recent heavy rains which have destroyed their vegetable crops.

Speaking further, a group of vegetable farmers in Bogawantalawa and Tinsin said that their vegetable crops had been destroyed due to the heavy rains in these areas.

He said that although he had taken various loans to cultivate vegetables, he was unable to repay the loans due to the destruction of those vegetable crops due to the heavy rains.

They also said that they had been in a state of panic due to the curfew imposed by the government for more than a month due to the covid.
