The government has decided to remove the control prices imposed on gas, milk powder, wheat flour and cement.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa this afternoon.

State Minister of Consumer Affairs Lasantha Alagiyawanna says that action will be taken if prices are increased to the detriment of consumers.
