I kindly request the President to pardon Ranjan now. He is not a murderer. Women have not been raped, ”s d MP Geetha Kumarasinghe.

She said that she had earlier  requested President to apologized to fellow actor Ranjan Ramanayake in Parliament but those requests were regretted that it had not received a response.

Speaking further Parliamentarian Geetha Kumarasinghe said,

“Ranjan is one of my fellow artists. I had played the lead roles in the film with him. But it is sad that he is in prison today. Ranjan has not done enough to not forgive. However, I kindly request the President to pardon him now. If he is released, he will return to the arts and work. “
