Rajiv Sooriyarachchi, Vice President, Airports and Aviation, said that the process of conducting PCR tests on passengers has not been stopped.
The Deputy Chairman pointed out that the media reports that the process of conducting these PCR tests has been suspended and that the newly started PCR laboratory has been closed are baseless.
A new laboratory launched to conduct PCR for tourists and migrant workers arriving at Katunayake Airport and it is submitting the reports within 03 hours, he added.
The Vice President stated this at a media briefing convened to explain the future activities of the laboratory.
