A group of opposition parliamentarians said that the riot allegedly caused by Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte entering the Anuradhapura prison is a true fact.
MPs Mano Ganeshan, Kavinda Jayawardena, and Rohana Bandara who went to the prison to inquire into the incident said that the minister who had entered the prison under the influence of alcohol had threatened the prisoners with his pistol.
They also said that the pistol loaded with ammunition was not activated at the time and
the prison had rescued prisoners.
