The Ministry of Consumer Protection and Cooperatives is focusing on revising the control prices currently imposed on rice.

 However, Samba and Kiri Samba are considering not to revise the control prices of raw and nadu rice.

Accordingly, it has been proposed to increase the price of a kilo of samba from Rs. 103 to Rs. 120 and a kilo of curry samba from Rs. 125 to Rs. 145.
