Army Commander Shavendra Silva says that there is a possibility of opening the country next week subject to certain restrictions.

He said a final decision on the matter would be taken at the Presidential Task Force on Coronation Prevention, which will be chaired by the President next Friday.

He also said that the recommendation on how to open the country would be handed over to the President by the Director General of Health Services this week.

He also says that the way the country will be opened will be decided according to those recommendations.

He added that even if the country is opened, travel restrictions between provinces will have to be maintained.
