Farmers in Ampara have strongly protested against Wildlife Minister Wimalaweera Dissanayake.

The protest was staged when they joined to launch an ornamental fish project in the Rajawewa area in Ampara.

The farmers stated that if the water from the tank is obtained for the project, the farmers will not have water to cultivate.

Following the protests, the minister left the venue and later responded to the media at another venue.
