Retired Secretary General of Defense Kamal Gunaratne says that some people are trying to form an opinion that the terrorist attack on Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday was a conspiracy carried out by then President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to come to power.
However, he said that the CID had conducted an investigation into the incident and would continue to do so.
He said that legal action had already been taken in this regard and urged the public not to be deceived by falsehoods.
He said this while he was addressing a media briefing in Colombo.
