Anesthesiologist Dr. Ashoka Gunaratne has also resigned as a member of the Corona Suppression Technical Committee. He stated that he resigned from the committee yesterday.
He said that he had resigned as he did not think it would benefit the committee and that he had been the chairman of the anesthesia association and had been a member of the committee for a year and a half.
He has resigned in protest of the decision of the Ministry of Health and the Director General of Health Services to take a decision on vaccination without a scientific basis.
