Specialist Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama has resigned from the Clinical Committee on Coronary Control.
It is said that he has sent an e-mail to the Director General of Health Services and the Secretary to the Ministry of Health informing about this.
He has resigned, saying he could not agree with some of the decisions made by the committees.
Mr. Wijayawickrama is the Physiotherapist at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.
He said that the closure of the country and the vaccination process were not being done as per the instructions given by the technical committee and that the decisions had been changed due to other reasons and that he could not be held responsible for future disasters as a result.
