The Central Government of India has refused to recognize the special powers of Milinda Moragoda, who has been appointed as the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India, according to several online news sites.

According to the reports, Milinda Moragoda has been appointed as the High Commissioner of India with the powers of a Minister.

According to reports, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has requested the Government of India to accept Milinda Moragoda’s powers, but they has refused request.

 Accordingly, it has been informed that the relevant clauses should be removed and a new file should be sent and it can be referred to the Government of India.
