The Government Medical Officers’ Association states that the closure of the country will not reduce the number of corona infections or deaths.
Its executive member Pannarasad Colombage points out that maintaining traffic restrictions is also a high responsibility of the people.
He says that closing the country and restricting travel are two things and closing the country is important but if it does not restrict travel then there is no point in making that lockdown.
He also points out that travel should be limited to at least 90% through a lockdown.
