Popular musician Iraj Weeraratne has resigned from the board of directors of the National Youth Services Council.

He has stated that he has taken this decision based on some of the essential personal matters that have been used in the past,while addressing a letter to Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.

The letter states that he is ready to work for the country whenever possible and that he is ready to provide his services for that.
