Former Minister Mangala Samaraweera has passed away.
He passed away while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital in Colombo after contracting the corona virus.
He had been receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit for several days.
The last rites will be performed according to the health guidelines. He was 65 years old at the time of his death.
