Twenty Sri Lankans have agreed to stay in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
The announcement comes as the Sri Lankan government moves to evacuate Sri Lankans from the country after Taliban insurgents seized control of the country.
From the 86 Sri Lankans are already in Afghanistan, 40 have been evacuated.
The Ministry of External Affairs states that arrangements are being made for the arrival of another 20 persons in Sri Lanka.
But the other 20 are said to remain under Taliban control.
