President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has stated that he has not taken any decision to close the country.
He has stated this at a discussion held with senior officials of the Ministry of Health yesterday.
The President has instructed the Ministry of Health to expedite PCR tests to determine whether people with chronic diseases over the age of 60 are infected with the virus.
These steps are meant to save people who are over the age of 60 from death since the majority of people who die from corona infection are over the age of 60.
