Health officials suspect that the Delta covid variety has now spread to a number of parts of the country.

More than 1,000 infected people have been identified in three weeks, and the Delta strain has been identified in about 15 provinces in China. It has 31 provinces.

Therefore, strict quarantine rules have been imposed in areas where infections have been reported and travel has been restricted and PCR tests have also been increased.

Chinese authorities are taking disciplinary action against local officials who fail to take appropriate action to control the spread of the virus.

The action was taken against 47 officials, including heads of local government bodies, health officials, hospital authorities and senior officials at airports.
