The National Investigation Agency of India (NIA) has launched an investigation into 38 Sri Lankans staying in India illegally.
Mangalore police along with Tamil Nadu police have arrested a group of Sri Lankans in the past month, Indian media reports.
They are said to be preparing to migrate to Canada illegally from India. It is reported that one person has tried to go to Canada by giving one million rupees in Sri Lankan currency.
