Rajendra Raj Mahendran, alias Killy Maharaja, the head of the Capital Maharaja Group and head of the MBC Media Network, has passed away.

He passed away while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Nawaloka Hospital in Colombo.

He was recently hospitalized due to coronavirus infection.

He had received both doses of the vaccine, but the virus had severely affected his lungs and he had reportedly died.

 The last rites of the deceased due to corona infection will be performed today under the health guidelines.
