The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Professionals says that the Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine used in Sri Lanka to control corona is not the best in the world.

Ravi Kumudesh, the president of the association, says that an investigation into the vaccine alone will not confirm such an investigation.

He said that the University of Sri Jayewardenepura had conducted research only on the Sinopharm vaccine and that there was no comparable test between the vaccines and that it was wrong to try to use the results to suggest that the Chinese vaccine was the best.

He says the Chinese vaccine is not accepted in sending workers to many countries in Europe and the Middle East, so instead of putting the full burden on it, a program should be launched immediately to provide at least globally accepted vaccines to those who wish to go abroad.
