The Director-General of Health Services says that 24 people infected with the delta strain of the coronavirus have been identified so far.

Dr Asela Gunawardena further said that these infections have been reported including 14 previously identified and 10 newly identified.

He also said that random investigations have been launched to find out the distribution of the Delta variety in the country.
