The newly appointed Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa says that he had to do unpleasant things like a father when he was the Minister of Finance.
The President and the Prime Minister had a good understanding of the problems of the people of the country and that although it was a difficult task, everyone would accept the challenge together.
He said this while he was addressing the media after assuming duties in the Ministry.
