The police had uncovered the website that advertised the sale of a 15-year-old girl online and the owner of the website has been arrested, the Police Media Spokesman, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He is a 45 year old resident of Nalluruwa, Panadura, and a 43-year-old resident of Alubolanda, Mavittara, Piliyandala, who was the money controller of the website, has also been arrested,he added.
The arrest was made by the Computer Investigation Unit of the CID and the two suspects are due to be produced before court today (June 04).
