The All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association has decided to increase the price of an ordinary loaf of bread by 10 rupees from next week.

President of the Association N.K. Mr. Jayawardena points out that this step was taken due to the increase in the price of a kilo of wheat flour by Rs. 18.

He said that due to the increase in fuel prices, the prices of bakery products other than bread have been increased by Rs. 5-10.
