Sinovac Life Science Co. Ltd. has announced that the agreement to supply the vaccine will be terminated if the price of the vaccine is revealed or talked about in public.
Simultaneously, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said in a Twitter message that the ‘Non-Disclosure Agreement’ is a common feature of pharmaceutical companies around the world in their procurement process.
Meanwhile, Kelun Life (Pvt) Ltd, a local production partner of Sinovac, has sent a letter to State Minister of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana stating that information regarding the relevant agreement should not be disclosed.
