A stock of imported unregistered drugs was found

The National Drug Regulatory Authority (NDRA) raided a drug store in Dehiwala for illegally importing unregistered drugs into the country and releasing them to the market illegally yesterday (22)

It has been revealed that the private company has changed the dates and covers of the expired drugs and then released them to the market. .

According to the reports several “expired” drugs used for unregistered kidney diseases in the country have been imported through this company and their expiration date and cover have been changed and released to the market.

The National Drug Regulatory Authority had received information regarding the drug store a few days ago.

Accordingly, officers of the National Drug Regulatory Authority raided the place and conducted a preliminary investigation into the drugs.

State Minister of Drug Production, Supply and Regulation Prof. Channa Jayasumana also visited the site yesterday.
